Butter Cookies

So I tried my hand at channeling Betty Crocker the other day and I have to say that I am pleased with the results. Brayden, my butter cookie eating fool, didn't seem to mind them so obviously I did something right :) Here's the recipe that I used...

Butter Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tsp vanilla (I used a little more)

  • In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and then stir in the vanilla.
  • Combine the flour and salt. Stir into the sugar mixture.
  • Cover and chill for one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and press dough onto cookie sheets.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden(it can also vary by the size of your cookie)
And Viola!

Hey NiNi do the plates look familiar?
